FAQ - Chamois Towel

E-mail Print PDF

Q. English divers (like Thomas Daley) always use those colorful sports  towels to wipe themselves dry after a jump. My son, a beginning  diver, would love to have such a towel also, but I'm unable to find  one in Germany. Do you have any idea where I can get one?

A. The towels the divers use are called chamois (pronounced "shammy"). Most good sport shops will have them for sale. Sometimes the pool may even sell them. You should speak with your coach or one of the other divers that has one at the pool where you train and they may be able to let you know where the best shops are to buy a chamois.

One of the great new features of the new DivingTube is the ability to import videos from YouTube.

If you happen to see a diving video from YouTube that you think would be a benefit to the DivingTube community feel free to import it to DivingTube.

It's quite a simple process. All you have to do is when you are logged in just go through the process of a normal upload. When requested choose  "Add a video from an external website" as your upload method. The all you have to do is copy and paste the YouTube web address (URL) into the Video URL box. It's that easy!
